Bear Bottoms Halton-Peel - Who We Are

They came from two very different career paths but their strong desire to give back to society would lead them to a joint venture. Peter’s career was in the Food Distribution Industry. Anna owned and operated an aesthetics salon here in Oakville. After taking early retirement they spent the next couple of years splitting their time between Vancouver Island and Oakville.

While on Vancouver Island, one of their closest friends started a cloth diaper service. Peter and Anna found this interesting but never really gave it another thought. They returned to Oakville, in the spring of 2008. Halton Region was changing to Bi-weekly garbage pick-up. It was at this time, that they encountered parents of children in disposable diapers facing the problem of having to hold onto dirty diapers for a two week period. They quickly realized that there was a need for an alternative solution.

Their lifelong love of nature and respect for the environment drove them to open their reusable cloth diaper service in the fall of 2008. By offering a cloth diaper service it would not only solve the Environmental issue but be a healthier choice for our children.

Many changes occurred in their 1st year. In the fall of 2009 they and their daughter Natalie, were happy to join the Bear Bottoms team.

They are now servicing the Halton/Peel and surrounding Regions.
